Your Donation Makes a Difference!

The Albany Fund for Education has provided over $400,000 for programs that have made a positive difference in Albany’s public schools. Our mission to enhance opportunities for students to learn, grow, and succeed has been realized through programs such as:

Feed and Read and Summer Weekend Feeding Programs to ensure that students come to school ready to learn

Chromebook and HotSpot distribution initiatives. When technology back orders prevented Albany students from participating in virtual education, AFE stepped in to provide computers and connectivity, with generous support from Hannaford Supermarkets and AT&T/Connected Nation.

Classroom Grants - Connecting teachers with resources and powering innovative partnerships between schools and community organizations

School Food Pantries - Providing students and families with access to foods that meet their dietary and cultural needs

Instrument Donation Program - repairing and rehabilitating donated instruments for student musicians to use

Albany Goes Green environmental education programs

Suggested Donation Amounts:

$50/Month - Fund a classroom grant, providing teachers with needed resources

$25/Month - Help give a hungry student a backpack of food and a book to take home each Friday

$20/Month - Repair donated instruments so that all students can enjoy playing an instrument

$10/Month - Provide trees and flowers for students to plant

$5/Month - Purchase produce and culturally specific foods to stock our school food pantries

Other Amount:

$50 - Purchase produce and culturally specific foods to stock our school food pantries

$100 - Repair a donated musical instrument so a student can practice

$150 - Provide trees and flowers for students to plant

$300 - Help give a hungry student a backpack of food and a book to take home each Friday

$500 - Bring diverse authors into our schools to inspire our students

$1,000 - Fund a classroom grant, enriching curriculum and providing teachers with needed resources
